Howell III carded a nine-under 63 in the final round at LIV Golf Korea to finish solo second behind Bryson DeChambeau.
ANALYSIS
Howell III was five shots back of DeChambeau heading into the final round. Howell surged up the leaderboard with a four-under round on the back nine, and he managed to catch DeChambeau after carding five consecutive birdies from holes 11 to 15. However, Howell faded after a bogey on the par-4 16th hole, and even with a birdie on the 18th it wasn't enough to force a playoff. Still, it was his first podium finish of the season and his best result on the LIV Golf tour since winning Mayakoba in 2023. Howell will have over a month off until LIV Golf DC on June 8.
