Williams was defeated in a playoff by Jordan Gumberg at the SDC Championship on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Williams was in position to cruise to victory on Sunday, but disaster struck on the 71st hole when he double-bogeyed the par 3 17th and needed par on 18 to force a playoff. The 22-year-old was able to accomplish that, but he ultimately fell on the second playoff hole to birdie by Gumberg. Williams has been playing good golf on the Sunshine and Challenge tours as of late now going T3-T11-2nd in his last three events. He will hope to shake off this tough loss and put up another strong result at the Jonsson Workwear Open.
