The first Sunday of the season is upon us at freaking last. Here's a quick fantasy thought on every team for the upcoming season, some quick Week 1 names to remember and my All Breakout and All Sleeper teams for the year.
AFC EAST
Buffalo Bills
LeSean McCoy is one of the best RB's on a per game basis this year, but unfortunately he's not available for enough of them as Mike Gillislee becomes a weekly fantasy starter.
Miami Dolphins
Arian Foster has temporarily stolen the tailback job from Jay Ajayi, but neither will lead this team in rushing. In a crowded backfield remember the name Isaiah Pead -- who oddly enough was the highest drafted of Miami's five backs, going 50th overall to the Rams in 2012.
New England Patriots
Chris Hogan will be owned in nearly 100% of leagues by the end of 2016, and don't be shocked if he's this team's leader in receiving yards.
New York Jets
Though Ryan Fitzpatrick set the franchise's single season passing touchdowns record while Brandon Marshall hauled in the most receiving yards in a single season last year for Gang Green, the team's 2016 offensive MVP will go to Matt Forte, who will once again be among the league leaders in scrimmage yards.
AFC NORTH
Baltimore Ravens
Why would anyone ever doubt Steve Smith? He's the one guy in the league with the intensity and passion it takes to destroy his Achilles, make a speedy recovery and rip apart his opponents for over 1,000 yards at the ripe age of 148 (in receiver years, that is).
Cincinnati Bengals
No Hue Jackson? No Marvin Jones or Mohamed Sanu? A hurt Tyler Eifert? Who cares? Not Andy Dalton, of course, who will lean on the under-loved rookie Tyler Boyd and Giovani Bernard early and often to make up the difference, en route to a 4,000-plus/30-plus season.
Cleveland Browns
This offense will belong to Duke Johnson by season's end.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Antonio Brown WILL be the first player in history to top 2,000 receiving yards.
AFC SOUTH
Houston Texans
Rookie first-rounder Will Fuller looks like the truth with the way he hits top speed in a blink and runs by corners effortlessly, and we all know about DeAndre Hopkins' circus catch ability, but the man that will lead this team in touchdown catches is being forgotten after some earlier strong offseason buzz. However, Jaelen Strong is not going to vanish quietly behind his more hyped teammates.
Indianapolis Colts
Sorry, Frank Gore. It's time to pass the baton. Since there's no one on the Colts roster truly qualified to take it, it will just have to be Jordon Todman. The unheralded veteran makes the most with his touches and once the Indy brass figures that out he'll be producing the first 100-yard rushing game in a Colts uni since Andrew Luck's rookie year.
Jacksonville Jaguars
No respect. Allen Hurns is going for 1,000 and 10. Again.
Tennessee Titans
Taking a page out of the Marion Barber handbook, Derrick Henry is going to own the goal line as a rookie while he paces the NFL in rushing touchdowns.
AFC WEST
Denver Broncos
No matter what size the league is, Virgil Green will be locked in as a weekly starter at tight end by mid season.
Kansas City Chiefs
Jamaal Charles will run for less than half the yards that Spencer Ware does and first time since his rookie season a healthy Charles will be found on the waiver wire.
Oakland Raiders
DeAndre Washington -- a Ray Rice clone -- will be the offensive MVP in a loaded Raiders offense as he leads the team in scrimmage yards.
San Diego Chargers
Powered by the joy and exuberance that football can bring a special talent, Melvin Gordon will lead the league in rushing.
NFC EAST
Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott, not Ezekiel Elliott, will be taking home the Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. He'll also be permanently taking Tony Romo's job. Sorry, Drew. Err... I mean Tony.
New York Giants
Everyone wants to count him out. Before doing that, count to 70, because that's the number of passes Victor Cruz is going to haul in as the clear-cut No. 2 target to Odell Beckham.
Philadelphia Eagles
Jeff Fisher will be as green as the Eagles' jerseys with envy while he watches Carson Wentz show the traits of an all-pro en route to a 4,000-yard rookie season.
Washington Redskins
The best QB-TE connection in football is now in the NFC, as Kirk Cousins will make Jordan Reed a fantasy hero as the pair hook up for over 1,200 yards and double-digit scores.
NFC NORTH
Chicago Bears
With all the attention Jeremy Langford and Kevin White got in the offseason it's like people forgot that Alshon Jeffery is about to rack up over 1,500 yards.
Detroit Lions
Three 1,000-yard receivers reside in Motown -- Golden Tate, Marvin Jones and Theo Riddick, who will be in the slot more than he is in the backfield.
Green Bay Packers
The fantasy world will be shocked when Davante Adams tops 1,000 yards, but it shouldn't be. The former second round pick just needed to get healthy and regain his mojo. With those two boxes checked off, he'll showcase his crisp route running, excellent ball skills and strength after the catch in an offense that will make fantasy championships happen.
Minnesota Vikings
With Sam Bradford playing his mercenary season under the new Minnesota dome, Stefon Diggs is set to go off. His footwork and stick 'em hands are not well-documented enough, but they will be after he visits the neighborhood of 1,200 and eight.
NFC SOUTH
Atlanta Falcons
Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman have to share the ball this year if Atlanta wants to go anywhere. Mohamed Sanu was never utilized properly in Cincinnati but the Falcons won't make that same mistake, as their No. 2 wideout will become hard to bench by season's end.
Carolina Panthers
Kelvin Benjamin will lead all Class of 2014 receivers in touchdowns, which is saying a lot with the likes of Odell Beckham, Allen Robinson, Mike Evans, Sammy Watkins and Brandin Cooks comprising the top end of this ridiculous class.
New Orleans Saints
C.J. Spiller will be relevant again! And by relevant, that means 1,000 scrimmage yards and a handful of key flex starts that save fantasy seasons.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The NFL's best one-two punch backfield will total over 3,000 scrimmage yards this year, but it will be Charles Sims who leads the way with touchdowns, topping double-digits as the team's most versatile playmaker.
NFC WEST
Arizona Cardinals
Flirting with 1,500 yards will not be the job of David Johnson in this offense (though he'll top 2K scrimmage yards). It will be Michael Floyd doing it through the air as he takes a clear step forward as the team's best receiver.
Los Angeles Rams
Always running second fiddle in the past, it will be Lance Kendricks' time to shine as the most surprising tight end this season to top 60 catches. A "move" tight end with fantastic athleticism, Kendricks will line up all over the field and emerge as the team's leading receiver and a major relief for Case Keenum, who will start all 16 games.
San Francisco 49ers
He who is last, shall become first. That is, the last receiver added to this Chip Kelly offense, Rod Streater, will be the one to lead the 49ers in receptions and receiving yards.
Seattle Seahawks
The best fantasy value on this team cannot possibly lay in such a crowded backfield (even if C.J. Prosise is an oversized LeSean McCoy who will catch 40-plus passes). The tiny dynamo that is Tyler Lockett is going to explode into a 1,300-yard season for Russ Wilson and Co. and make good for anyone who stole him in drafts.
