Recap:

Los Angeles (NL)/Washington (NL) over 10. Luis Atilano, who I'd just about never heard of before Friday, pitched well against the Manny-less Dodgers, keeping the score down.

Texas -120. Rich Harden was ineffective and Neftali Feliz blew a save and I still won. Yay, luck. Even in a full season of plays, you're going to need some of these to end up in the black.

Today:

Cincinnati +100, one unit. Getting what I believe is the better starting pitcher, Homer Bailey, for the better team at home at even money.

San Francisco, +102, one unit. A fade of Brad Penny behind a starting pitcher I strongly believe in, with the added benefit of possibly getting the Cardinals' day-game-after-night-game lineup. Penny is one of the most interesting pitchers of 2010 so far, and I'll be DVRing this game so I can take a look at him tonight.

New York (NL), +105, one unit. Ride the Mike Pelfrey Train with me. I've been pimping him for years, and he may finally be putting it together in 2010.

I have been a little surprised by how little I've liked this week. I don't think it's a tightening of standards--I was looking to increase my plays--but rather the books erasing some of the early-season value (and fade value) in some teams and some pitchers.
