Picks, 5|FRONTS|3|FRONTS|10

A fairly nondescript day:

Chicago (AL) +185. Mark Buerhle got Vazquez'd.

Cleveland +143. I still don't buy Francisco Liriano at this level. He's giving up a lot of fly balls and has yet to allow a homer. That's the kind of thing that snaps back. And if it doesn't, I have to buy someone dinner at Wienerschnitzel.

Tampa Bay -142. All 1-0 wins are more or less random, but I'll stand by the idea that if you're letting me fade the Royals at this price, I have to take it. Zack Greinke's winless start to the season, by the way, is a reminder that you need to look at more than just the starting pitcher in making picks.

Arizona/Chicago (NL) over 10. This was in the books early. Edwin Jackson is not enjoying himself.

Colorado +134. By the end of the year, I may end up making more units on the Rockies than on the field in total.

Tonight is a light night:

Philadelphia +102, 1.5 units. Jaime Garcia has outkicked his coverage a bit, and I can't see him as a favorite on the road against a good team. Like Liriano, he's yet to allow a home run.

Baltimore +260, .5 units. Entirely a math play based on the size of the number.

Kansas City/Chicago (AL) under 9 (-105), one unit. This line is two high for these offenses, and is inflated because of Jake Peavy's poor start.
