Picks, 5|FRONTS|19|FRONTS|10

Another very frustrating day, as the Angels blow a big lead and the Mariners tie their game three times, plus blow a late lead, before losing. All you can do is breathe through it, and the overall trend is positive, but the last few days could have been very positive.

No day games on a Wednesday; just another reason to hate the two-game series. There were a lot of games I liked tonight, and I really worked to pare down the list.

Tonight:

Tampa Bay +139, two units. Cervelli, Thames, Miranda, Winn. That's the Yankees' 6-9 batters tonight. The Rays were slightly better, in my eyes, six weeks ago, and the shock troops the Yankees are currently running out there don't change that.

New York (NL) +127, one unit. This is a very tough call between the over 9 and the bet against Livan Hernandez. I'll throw in a vote of confidence for R.A. Dickey, who I pimped in SI back in March.

Boston -122, one unit. Loving me some Clay Buchholz right now, and the line reflects the teams' records which may overstate the real gap between the two teams. Daniel Bard FTS!

Milwaukee/Pittsburgh over 9 (-125), two units. These two bullpens are horrible, and it's not like Brian Burres against the Brewers isn't run-friendly.

Colorado -104, one unit. The team I have as the best in the league against the team that is the worst.
