NHL Playoff Observations -- Sunday Night

Just a few things that caught my eye:

  • Don't offer Jimmy Howard a snow cone. I'm pretty sure he'd knock your block off after all the snow showers he's had this series.
  • I should not have doubted you, Vincent Lecavalier. I apologize. I'll still trade your arse off my keeper squad if you keep this up. Somebody will get all gooey about your studliness and I'll be free. Free, I say. Freeeeeee...
  • Note to the Caps' studs -- the 1-3-1 is very simple. The top guy is always going to funnel you to one side. The guys on the blue line are always going to force you to shoot in the puck. And it's your job to go in and get it. So do it. The muckers on your team have it figured out...
  • Was it me or were the Red Wings skating up hill just about all night long? The ice was seriously tilted against them all afternoon long.
  • Antti Niemi was more than exceptional. Two goals in two games is as stingy as they come.
  • Grow up Tomas Holmstrom -- you need to stop the schoolyard tantrums. You're hurting your team.
  • Guess who scored again but this time at the world championships. Marc-Andre Gragnani will be a fantasy producer sooner rather than later....
  • Any doubts Jeff Skinner was for real? Two more goals today and against elite international competition at the worlds. He's going to win the Rocket Richard trophy sooner than any of us every thought. Wow.
