I Believe In Campbell's Soup: Week 6 Predictions

The best play of the weekend happened during the Titans vs Steelers game. It was not, however, by either team, but rather a pair of referees.

Overall: 7-2-1

Last Week's Predictions:

Minnesota -2.5 vs Arizona: WIN

The Vikings finally picked up their first win against an Arizona team that is spiraling out of control. I still believe McNabb and crew are not quite as bad as their record reflects, and currently have them winning 5-6 games this year. Even with Adrian Peterson's 3 1st quarter TDs, I was not sure of this pick until Arizona kicked a 51-yard field goal, down 28 in the 2nd quarter. That's just good football.

Oakland +6 at Houston: WIN

Oakland got off to an extremely slow start against an average Houston team, but thanks to the Polish Cannon, Sebastian Janikowski, they were able to stay in the game. Janikowksi made three 50+ yarders and tacked on a late 42 yarder to put the Raiders up 8. With the help of Run DMC and Michael Bush, the Raiders continue to dominate on the ground, ranked 1st in the league in rushing efficiency.

Week 6 Predictions:

Oakland -5.5 vs Cleveland

I am officially a believer in the Raiders. They continue to run the ball efficiently in a passing-dominated league. More importantly, Jason Campbell is not making devastating mistakes. He has a 6:4 TD to interception ratio and has yet to give up a fumble. The Raiders take on a Cleveland defense that has been utterly average this year both against the pass and the run.

Tampa Bay +5 vs New Orleans

I don't really love any of the remaining games but I expect Tampa Bay to keep it close in a division game at home, especially if they are hoping to make the playoffs this year. Josh Freeman's offense has been wildly disappointing but they go up against a Saints team with the worst run defense in the league. After adjusting for strength of opponents, the Saints have allowed almost 14 more points than expected on the ground this year. With or without LeGarrette Blount, Freeman should find running lanes.
