If it's Tuesday, it must be...

…time to make some money. I took Monday off, although you diehards still won with my "if you must wager" Angels-A's Under bet.

Let's see if we can improve on my season record of 6-3, +$249.

Cubs-Cardinals Over 7.5
Bet $150
This wager has less to do with the Cubbies and more to do with the Cards, where the Over is 16-5 in their last 21 home games (including 4-0 in the last 4 vs. a left-handed starter), 13-3 in their last 16 on grass, and 5-1 in Lohse's last 6 starts vs. Cubs. Bonus: Over is 4-0 in Cubs last 4 overall.

Tigers +117 over White Sox
Bet $100
As good as Peavy has been this season, the Sox are a miserable 3-7 in his last 10 home starts and 1-4 in in his last 5 home starts vs. a team with a losing record (how do the Tigers have a losing record?). The Pale Hose are also 5-11 in their last 16 home games. Meanwhile, the Tigers are 39-18 in their last 57 games vs. a right-handed starter (including 20-8 in their last 28 road games vs. a right-handed starter), 46-19 in their last 65 games following a loss, and 22-9 in the last 31 meetings of these two teams. Scherzer also seems to turn it up a notch against division rivals, and the Tigers are 5-2 in his last 7 starts vs. American League Central.

Good luck!
