DFS Amateur Hour - Friday Plays

This is getting ridiculous. I'm starting to feel like I had four martinis at the poker table and raising with 6-7 off-suit because no one will see it coming if I make my straight.

I bankrolled the idea of the Indians crushing the Tigers today, and the opposite happened, reducing my bankroll another $2 to $978. The danger of the small tournaments is it's easy to fritter away $2 here, $5 there and not worry too much, and pretty soon that $1000 is down to $850. Playing for stakes that are too low might be as dangerous as playing for ones that are too high. Why not make a loose call - I have some outs!

But I also want to enjoy this a bit, so I threw in three more lineups, not including the two identical ones I set in the RotoWire Baseball Championship and the Tout Wars Baseball Championship.

Here are my three lineups, all tournament entries:

Lineup 1

P Taijuan Walker $7400

C Jonathan Lucroy $3500

1B David Ortiz $3700

2B Jedd Gyorko $2700

3B Aramis Ramirez $3200

SS Alexei Amaristi $2200

OF Carlos Gomez $4300

OF Ryan Braun $4000

OF Yasiel Puig $4000

Lineup 2

P Taijuan Walker $7400

C Yasmani Grandal $2900

1B Pedro Alvarez $3300

2B Neil Walker $3500

3B Pablo Sandoval $3000

SS Asdrubal Cabrera $2600

OF Carlos Gomez $4300

OF Ryan Braun $4000

OF Yasiel Puig $4000

Lineup 3

P Drew Pomeranz $6800

C Jonathan Lucroy $3500

1B Matt Adams $3400

2B Johnny Giavotella $2200

3B Aramis Ramirez $3200

SS Alcides Escobar $3100

OF Carlos Gomez $4300

OF Ryan Braun $4000

OF Bryce Harper $4300

Obviously, I'm going all-in on the right-handed Milwaukee bats against Jeff Locke.
