DFS College Basketball: Wednesday Preview

This article is part of our DFS College Basketball series.

We've got a busy day of College Basketball on tap with five top-25 teams in action ahead of a 12-game DraftKings slate that is highlighted by the $15 Pull Up Jumper contest with a $5,000 top payout. FanDuel also features a large 10-game slate for their $9 All-American contest with $1,000 to first. Both sites kick off the action at 6:30 p.m. EST.

Top Players

Tari Eason, F, LSU ($8,100 DK, $7,600 FD)

It feels a little strange to pay up for someone that comes off the bench, but that's how efficient Eason has been this season. Even as the team's sixth man, he's still logged at least 30 minutes in the last two games and has recorded four double-doubles this season. Eason is leading the team with a massive 28.5 percent usage rate and this should be good spot for him to excel against a Florida team that has allowed over 80 points in each of their last two games. Also keep in mind that Xavier Pinson (10.9 ppg, 4.7 apg, 3.1 rpg) will be out for the Tigers with a knee injury, which only opens up more opportunities.

 P.J. Hall, F, Clemson ($8,000 DK, $7,000 FD)

Hall has quietly been one of the most efficient big men in the country, reaching double figures in every game since the season opener and contributing across the stat sheet as an efficient rebounder and shot-blocker. With Notre Dame lacking much resistance on the defensive end and especially in the post, Hall has the opportunity to post one of his ceiling games -- although he's probably better served as a GPP than cash game option on DraftKings.

Middle Tier

Nijel Pack, G, Kansas St. ($6,600 DK)

I expect Pack to be a chalky option on DraftKings due to his mid-range salary despite being priced as high as $8,000 earlier in the season and having put up at least 27 fantasy points in the last five games. You won't find shooting splits much better than his 52/42/92 line, and he's a good bet to play 35-37 minutes in what should be a closely contested matchup against TCU.

Blake Wesley, G, Notre Dame ($6,400 DK, $7,400 FD)

Wesley gets a nice $1,000 discount compared to his FanDuel pricing, which is a bit of a head scratcher considering his 32.1 shot percentage rate when he's on the floor is the highest of anyone on the slate. Since entering the starting lineup in December, Wesley is averaging 15.3 ppg with three 30+ point fantasy performances and should be able to have one of his more efficient games against a Clemson team that is better on the offensive side of the ball.

Values

 Joel Soriano, F, St. John's ($4,700 DK, $5,900 FD)

Soriano's minutes have been a bit sporadic this season, but at this salary, he's hard to overlook with his average of 1.09 fantasy points per minute and 13.5 rebounds per 40 minutes. With UConn's length and frontcourt presence, St. John's will need to give Soriano more minutes than they typically do, and he did log 29 minutes a few starts back against Pitt where he was one board shy of a double-double.

Samuell Williamson, G/F, Louisville ($3,700 DK, $5,100 FD)

Louisville only has one player priced over $5k, which creates value on their lower-priced players, as someone other than Malik Williams will have to contribute. That should certainly be the case against a .500 NC State team that ranks 187th in KenPom's defensive efficiency metric. Williamson is a good low-cost salary filler, as he entered the starting lineup at the end of December and is averaging 9.3 points and six rebounds over the four-game stretch.
