Knee
September 19, 2019
Towns (knee) has been cleared for non-contact work, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
An ongoing knee issue limited Towns at the start of the 2018-19 season, and he never really got healthy enough to take the court. He still doesn't have a concrete timetable for a return to full contract, but the Crimson are hopeful he can be a key contributor in his senior season. The next indication of his status may not come until the Crimson Madness event scheduled for Oct. 18, and Harvard is officially scheduled to begin its season Nov. 5 against MIT. Towns was a double-digit scorer and capable rebounder when healthy, as he put up 16.0 points and 5.7 boards across 30 games (24 starts) in his last complete season.
