Sticking around in Gainesville
GFlorida
May 29, 2019
Nembhard announced Wednesday via his personal Twitter account that he will withdraw from the 2019 NBA Draft and return to Florida for his sophomore season.
ANALYSIS
Despite a strong freshman season as a 36-game starter at point guard, Nembhard was viewed by most outlets as a candidate to go undrafted had he elected to enter the professional ranks. As a result, it's not too surprising he'll return for another season in Gainesville, where he'll look to boost his draft stock while presumably taking on a more prominent role for the Gators in 2019-20. He acted as more of a supporting-cast player in his first year with Florida, averaging 8.0 points, 5.4 assists, 2.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.0 triple in 32.9 minutes per contest.
