Returning for sophomore season
CNorth Carolina
March 12, 2020
Bacot announced Thursday that he will return to school for the 2020-21 season, Ross Martin of InsideCarolina.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After one of the program's worst seasons under Roy Williams, Bacot has decided to stay in school and remain a Tar Heel. During his freshman campaign, the center started 32 games, averaging 9.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 blocks over 24.4 minutes. He figures to return to a starting role next season as the team looks to make its disastrous 2019-20 season a distant memory.
