East announced Thursday via his personal Twitter account that he entered the NCAA's transfer portal with the intention of moving on from Massachusetts.
ANALYSIS
East turned in a solid true freshman campaign for the Minutemen, averaging 9.3 points and 4.9 assists while starting in 20 of his 31 appearances. He'll retain his redshirt along with three years of eligibility at his next Division I stop, though he would have to sit out the 2020-21 season if he's not granted a waiver by the NCAA.
