Mordecai will return to Oklahoma next season, Jason Kersey of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After narrowly losing the competition starting quarterback to Jalen Hurts in 2019, Mordecai settled for the role of backup. With Hurts likely moving on to the NFL next year, Mordecai will compete again for the starting job, this time with Spencer Rattler. Mordecai appeared in six games last season, mostly for cleanup duty during blowouts, going 16-for-26 with 207 yards and two touchdowns.
