Leaves school for NFL
Mitchell announced Tuesday via social media that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Texas to enter the 2024 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell will bring an early end to a three-year college career that began at Georgia in 2021 before he joined Texas ahead of the 2023 season. He finished his lone campaign at Texas as the team's No. 2 receiver behind Xavier Worthy, turning in 55 receptions for 845 yards and 11 touchdowns over 14 games. With Mitchell, Worthy and Jordan Whittington all leaving school for the NFL, Texas will have to replace each of its top three wideouts from 2023 heading into the upcoming season.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Mitchell averaged 14.7 yards per catch in 2021, finding the end zone four times during Georgia’s Championship run. Though he managed just 29 catches as quarterback Stetson Bennett spread the ball around, the transfer of Jermaine Burton should open up some looks for Mitchell. Mitchell has the size at 6-4 to emerge as a red zone threat, though the passing game is still likely to run through tight end Brock Bowers, who amassed a staggering 13 scores through the air in 2022. George Pickens is in the NFL as well, though, so the Bulldogs are fairly thin behind Mitchell, Ladd McConkey and Kearis Jackson, leaving enough opportunities to keep Mitchell satisfied.
