2023 Receiving Projections

Over 100-yard mark again
Watkins recorded five receptions (on six targets) for 103 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 55-49 victory versus LSU.
ANALYSIS
Watkins scored for the second time in three games, while also crossing the 100-yard receiving plateau for the third time in five contests. There should be plenty of ball to go around against struggling Arkansas next weekend.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Watkins is presumably taking over as one of the the top wide receivers on a Mississippi team that thrived off of the offensive combination of wideout Dontario Drummond and quarterback Matt Corral last season. Drummond was responsible for 1,028 of Ole Miss’ receiving yards last season, but with his departure it opens up many more opportunities for Watkins. The 5-foot-11, 190 pound receiver has spent his last two seasons at Louisville where he totalled 529 yards, 35 receptions and four touchdowns in 2021. Watkins’ battle for the Rebels’ WR1 spot will likely be with Jonathan Mingo who received less yards than Watkins last season with 346, but has a chance to be a real contender now that there is less competition for the position.
