Dressed for warmups
Watkins (undisclosed) is dressed for warmups prior to Ole Miss' matchup versus Middle Tennessee on Saturday, Brad Logan of 247sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Watkins is set to make his season debut for the Rebels despite not being included on their Week 2 depth chart. Watkins should see ample playing time at receiver, and he might also serve as the team's punt returner.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Watkins is presumably taking over as one of the the top wide receivers on a Mississippi team that thrived off of the offensive combination of wideout Dontario Drummond and quarterback Matt Corral last season. Drummond was responsible for 1,028 of Ole Miss’ receiving yards last season, but with his departure it opens up many more opportunities for Watkins. The 5-foot-11, 190 pound receiver has spent his last two seasons at Louisville where he totalled 529 yards, 35 receptions and four touchdowns in 2021. Watkins’ battle for the Rebels’ WR1 spot will likely be with Jonathan Mingo who received less yards than Watkins last season with 346, but has a chance to be a real contender now that there is less competition for the position.
