Odom was one of the guys that head coach Scotty Walden brought with him from Austin Peay. The move from the FCS to the FBS didn't hinder Odom at all. In fact, his numbers were even better at the FBS level. Odom had 46 catches for 741 yards and eight touchdowns with the Miners. Now, he's had a chance to acclimate himself to FBS football. The same goes for Scotty Walden, whose dynamic offense needed to be tweaked for the increase in oppositional talent. If everything breaks right for the Miners and for Odom, he could be in for a big season. The only question is the presence of Kam Thomas, another APSU transfer, who had 47 catches for 532 yards and two scores across just nine games. That being said, if everything breaks as it could for Walden, this passing game should sustain production for two receivers, and Odom at 5-foot-10 is more of an end-zone threat than Thomas, who stands at just 5-foot-7, 184 pounds. Out for season
Thomas (knee) will miss the rest of the 2025 season, according to Bret Bloomquist of the El Paso Times.
				  ANALYSIS
Thomas hasn't played since the Miners' opener, and now it's been confirmed he won't return for the rest of the campaign. Thomas ends the campaign with 16 carries for 36 yards and four catches for 26 receiving yards. Expect Hahsaun Wilson to continue as the lead back for UTEP.
