Six receptions for 91 yards
December 27, 2024
Williams notched six receptions (on 11 targets) for 91 yards and one touchdown during Friday's 33-8 defeat versus Florida.
ANALYSIS
Williams was partially responsible for Tulane's only points when the team logged its bowl game one week ago. In doing so, he also ensured that 2024 would be a historic season on his part. Williams finished this year with career highs in each receiving category. He logged 60 receptions (on 94 targets) for 1,031 yards (17.2 averaged per reception) and six touchdowns across his 14 games. Now, the question is whether or not Williams stays put at Tulane or transfers colleges yet again.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
Injuries kept Williams from making the impact many expected last season, as he already had synergy with Caleb Williams from their time shared in Oklahoma. Although he had a few impressive games and ended the season with 631 yards and five touchdowns, his full potential wasn’t reached. If Williams is 100 percent, Williams could end up leapfrogging his teammates and claim the top spot at the position. Williams’ only concern is his size - at only 5-9, he needs to rely on his speed and ability to get open. He’s not the type of player Williams can depend on for the 50/50 ball.
Williams’ stock took a hit when Jordan Addison chose USC as his transfer destination but don’t let him fall too far in your drafts. Talented in his own right and with established chemistry with Caleb Williams, he will be a factor. This Williams was a highly rated recruit in the 2021 class who caught 35 of 48 targets with four scores despite competing in a loaded Sooner receiving group. He’ll still have competition for targets in LA, but Williams and his familiarity with the system and chemistry with his quarterback make him a viable starting receiver.
