St Lucia Zouks

Probable Playing XIs:

Jamaica Tallawahs:

Jamaica Tallawahs has excellent batting unit in this competition right from Chris Gayle to Andre Russell but couldn't register a single victory even after setting a record target of 241 in the last match where Gayle and Chadwick Walton smashed 116 and 73 respectively where Oshane Thomas and Russell picked four and two wickets respectively other than duo rest all failed to pick wickets. However, as Jamaica set to play their first home game some improvements can be expected from the bowling unit.

Predicted XI:Chris Gayle, Glenn Phillips (WK), Chadwick Walton, Rovman Powell (C), George Worker, Andre Russell, Shamar Springer, Steven Jacobs, Jerome Taylor, Christopher Lamont, Oshane Thomas

St Lucia Zouks:

St Lucia Zouks made a couple of changes to their side in the last game but it did not go well even after scoring 167 runs in 20 overs Knight Riders chased down the total easily. Beside slow start from Andre Fletcher and John Campbell Zouks couldn't reach the total they wanted which caused the match, however, except Obed McCoy and Fawad Ahmed we couldn't see any spectacular bowling performance from other bowlers.

Predicted XI: Andre Fletcher (WK), Rahkeem Cornwall, Andre McCarthy, Najibullah Zadran, Christopher Barnwell, John Campbell, Darren Sammy (C), Kesrick Williams, Obed McCoy, Kavem Hodge, Fawad Ahmed

Top Picks:

Wicket-keeper: Glenn Phillips (9 credits)

The 22-year-old batsman is not up to the mark so far this season got out on single digit on both occasions, however, in CPL 2018 at this venue Phillips smashed 58 against Zouks and 41 against Patriots. We can expect the South African to mark his return with a brisk start.

Batsman: Chris Gayle (10.5 credits)

The big man marked his return with a ton as he blitzed 116 off 62 balls in Jamaica's last game against Patriots which has taken him to the top of the tournament's run chart although, it all went in vain. However, all eyes will be on The Universal Boss once again when he takes the field for the first time in the home ground.

All-rounder: Andre Russell (11 credits)

Russell storm is back in the CPL 2019 where he already made an impact with both bat and ball by smashing a 24-ball 44 against Knight Riders and took a couple of wickets last time against the Patriots which makes him the key player in the lineup.

Bowler: Oshane Thomas (8.5 credits)

The right-arm quick blower had a terrific outing last time against the Patriots where picked four wickets but bowled an expensive spell, however, the main reason to pick him from the bowling section is because Thomas has good bowling record at this venue where he picked four wickets in two matches in CPL 2018 including three wickets against the Zouks.

Captain options: Chris Gayle, Andre Russell
