Perth Scorchers are ready to face Sydney Thunder in the match 41 of the Big Bash League (BBL) in Perth on Thursday. The game is an important one for the home side who will be playing after six-day break, as they can go as high as sixth on the table with a win against Thunder. In the previous meeting between the teams earlier in the competition, it was the Thunder who came out on top by four-wicket margin.

In their previous match, Scorchers suffered a four-wicket defeat against league leaders Hobart Hurricanes at the same venue where they will face Shane Watson-led unit on Thursday. In the batting department, the home team will be relying on the likes of captain Ashton Turner and in-form Cameron Bancroft to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of pace duo of Nathan Coulter-Nile, Andrew Tye and leg-spinner Usman Qadir to provide timely breakthroughs.

On the other hand, Thunder will be coming into this match hoping they can improve their last match performance against Melbourne Renegades, where they ended up 12 runs short of the target even with five wickets in hand. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of captain Shane Watson, New Zealand all-rounder Anton Devcich and experienced Callum Ferguson to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of pacers Chris Jordan, Gurinder Sandhu and leg-spinner Fawad

Key Players:

Fawad Ahmed – 8.5 Cr

First in the list of key players features Sydney Thunder's leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed. The right-arm leggie is having a good tournament with the ball in hand where he has already claimed 11 wickets in 10 outings at an average of 20.81 and strike-rate 17.4. The most impressive aspect of Ahmed's performance in the tournament so far is his economy-rate of 7.15. Those numbers suggest the 36-year-old might prove to be a great pick for your team for the match on Thursday. Ahmed has played 62 T20s in his career, where he has 68 wickets to his name.

Andrew Tye – 9.5 Cr

Second in the list of key players features Perth Scorchers' Andrew Tye. The right-arm pacer is having a great tournament with the ball in hand where he already has 12 wickets in just nine outings, which also makes him the leading wicket-taker for the franchise. Therefore, Tye, who is valued at 9.5 Cr, is the player to have in your team, especially because the conditions in Perth is ideal for the tall fast-bowler. The 32-year-old has played 118 T20s in his career, where he has 171 wickets to his name at an average of 19.84.

Anton Devcich – 9 Cr

Last in the list of key players features Sydney Thunder's Anton Devcich. The left-hander is having a below par competition according to his own standards. However, the New Zealand international has ample amount of experience of playing in different T20 leagues in the world and is very much capable of turning his form around – especially in big matches. Therefore, Devcich, who is valued at 9 Cr, might not prove to be a bad pick for your team for the match on Thursday.
