JDG vs. FPX

FunPlus Phoenix went 2-1 in the group stage dropping a game to T1 which they could of won if they didn't overextend in teamfights in the mid game. FPX actually looked good during their beating of DAMWON Gaming and Top Esports. JD Gaming, on the other hand, also finished 2-1 and dropped a game to Gen.G while playing two really close games against DragonX. Kanavi didn't look that great mechanically which made some of the games close aside from the IG game. Both teams know how to play against each other, but there has been one player who has been secretly carrying his team and that's LWX. LWX has a 7.25 KDA and a 73 percent kill participation which makes a huge difference in teamfights. This contributes to the team being able to tank for him and doing a good job of keeping the damage dealer alive which is crucial in all teamfights. Khan has looked amazing as well, grabbing the highest gold-per-minute on the team. I believe that FPX has gotten back into form and they finally found a way to play around Khan who is a world class top laner. As long as FPX can draft for Khan and LWX, this team can be deadly, even with the likes of Kanavi and Yagao on the other team.

Prediction: 3-1 FPX

FPX Players to Target: LWX ($7,600), DoinB ($7,200), Khan ($6,000)

TES vs. GenG

Gen.G looked amazing besides the first game against DragonX, who had the better draft. GenG went on to beat Invictus Gaming and JD Gaming in convincing fashion, and they showed a look that I mentioned Thursday that could propel them to some victories. Gen.G drafting early and getting some of their players on carry champions is a great look for this team as they do have the players to pull a comp like that. I think that the LPL teams definitely struggle against good laning squads who rarely make mistakes, such as Gen.G. It's a different story for Top Esports, who drafted for a scaling comp and beat both DAMWON and T1 in their respective pool play matches. TES is able to teamfight out of a paper bag due to Knight carrying in the late game teamfights. Another key player that has contributed to Knight's success is Yuyanjia, who leads the team in kill participation at 71 percent. When you have a team that knows how to play a scaling game with better teamfighting players, it will be a task for the LCK teams to go against as TES can play multiple styles. Karsa has been the biggest letdown since the meta has shifted away from Lee Sin. If Karsa can draft something simple as a Trundle or Graves that are good early and still scale, this should be a clean sweep.

Prediction: 3-1

TES Players to Target: Knight ($7,400), JackeyLove ($7,400), Yuyanjia ($5,600)

Talon vs. Team Flash

The grand finals of the MSS is between a PCS team and a VCS team. Team Flash barely made it out of groups while Talon went 5-1 and straight to grand finals. The PCS teams have shown that they are definitely the more consistent region as in macro, micro, and drafting. Talon should win this with ease, and this is the best game to target on this slate because Team Flash's games have been really bloody. Talon has a 20 kill-per-win while Team Flash also has a 20 kill-per-win and 20 death-per-loss.

Prediction: Talon 3-1

Talon Players to Target: Unified ($7,800), River ($7,200), Hanabi ($6,400)
