Let go by Seattle

March 9, 2023
The Seahawks released Jackson on Thursday, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
A transaction that made sense for the Seahawks, the team decided to part ways with Jackson likely due to a combination of his age, lingering knee concerns and his hefty salary cap number ($11.3 million) for this coming season. The 335-pounder started in 31 games for Seattle across the previous two campaigns, and he'll now look elsewhere to continue his playing career.

Paying visit to Carolina
OGFree Agent
November 28, 2023
Jackson will visit with the Panthers on Wednesday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was released by Seattle after last season due to a combination of injury concerns and the $11.3 million salary he would have been owed in 2023. He's remained unsigned since but could help a Carolina offensive line that has allowed 3.9 sacks per game this season. If he signs, Jackson would almost certainly slot into the starting right guard position, likely costing Brett Toth his starting job.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2015
2014
Jackson is entering his second season in the league and he'll start at left guard for the Raiders in 2015.
While the selection of Jackson represents a strong value at the draft position (81st overall), the Raiders re-signed Khalif Barnes, so Jackson may have to bide his time in a reserve role to begin the season.
