2023 Fantasy Outlook
Hodgins enjoyed quite an ascent in 2022, ending as one of Daniel Jones' favorite targets for the Giants after spending the first four weeks of the campaign on the Bills' practice squad. Hodgins featured prominently for New York from Weeks 13-17, averaging five catches for 50 yards while racking up four touchdowns. He then erupted for eight catches for 105 yards and a score in the Giants' wild-card win over Minnesota. The late-season breakout likely earned Hodgins a sizable role in New York's passing game for 2023, but he'll have more competition for targets with TE Darren Waller, WR Parris Campbell and rookie third-rounder Jalin Hyatt joining a receiving corps that still includes Hodgins, Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard and Wan'Dale Robinson. Hitting open market
Hodgins will be an unrestricted free agent after the Giants opted not to give him a restricted free-agent tender Wednesday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hodgins caught on with the Bills as an undrafted rookie in 2021 before making his way to the Giants midway through the 2022 season. He had at least 29 yards in each of his eight games for the Giants in 2022, but then managed just 230 yards over 17 games and 511 snaps in 2023. While the team decided he's not valuable enough to warrant the lowest RFA tender ($2.99 million), Hodgins could still return to the Giants on a lesser contract.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2021
2020
Hodgins was a sixth-round draft pick in 2020 following a productive career at Oregon State. He has good size (at 6-3, 201 pounds), along with good skills around the ball, which could spell potential for him in Buffalo. The team's receiver room is crowded though, so Hodgins may find himself on the practice squad to start the coming season.
