Denver Broncos
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Jones is entering his fifth year in the league as a new member of Denver's secondary after spending his first four seasons with the Dolphins. After signing a three-year deal with the Broncos, the 26-year-old is likely to operate as one of the Broncos' top safeties in 2024. Jones recorded 48 tackles (36 solo), four passes defended, two interceptions and one forced fumble in his final year in Miami, and he'll look to pick up where he left off in his new locale. Jones (foot) does not carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Jones apparently suffered an injury to his foot during Denver's loss versus the Steelers in Week 2, but the issue won't force him to miss any playing time. He should start at safety next to P.J. Locke in Week 3.

Jones' recovery will be a key story line for Miami's defense, as the timing of his torn ACL last October could mean the rehab process lingers into training camp or the 2023 campaign. The Dolphins have made a number of key additions on defense, including a new coordinator in Vic Fangio, but Jones' versatility to contribute both in coverage and as a pass-rusher can't be easily replaced. The best-case scenario for Fangio's defense in Year 1 will rely on Jones being able to return without missing much time.
A 2020 third-round pick, Jones looked solid as a rotational option in his rookie year, then thrived as a situational pass-rusher in the secondary with 79 tackles and five sacks in 2021. Jones plays a valuable enough role to contribute in fantasy even while handling 70 percent or less of defensive snaps, and though he doesn't have a clear path to a three-down gig at safety, he could certainly see the field more regularly in 2022.
After handling a consistent rotational role as a rookie, the 2020 third-round pick could push for increased playing time in 2021. If veteran Eric Rowe were to miss any time, Jones would stand to immediately pivot into the starting lineup.
