2022 Fantasy Outlook
Allen's value to the Rams was set in March, as he signed a three-year, $24 million deal to remain as the Rams' starting center after being named as an alternate to the Pro Bowl in 2021. Entering his fourth year in the league, Allen will be a stalwart at the position with Coleman Shelton operating as the backup. Read Past Outlooks

Done for the year
Allen is now slated to miss the remainder of the season as a result of the strained calf he suffered Monday night against Green Bay, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen departed the Rams' Week 15 contest versus the Packers on just the second play from scrimmage with what has since been revealed as a season-ending calf strain. In the 303-pounder's absence, Oday Aboushi stepped in at right guard while Coleman Shelton slid over to center.

Jalen Hurts, Ryan Tannehill and Lamar Jackson were all ruled out Thursday, but Nick Chubb is set to play through his foot injury in brutal weather.

With Josh Jacobs and Joe Mixon listed as questionable ahead of late kickoffs, it's unclear if Zamir White and Samaje Perine will be startable in fantasy leagues,

Erik Siegrist analyzes the Monday night matchup as Tom Brady and the Bucs take on the Saints in a key NFC South showdown.

With Joe Mixon, Leonard Fournette and Raheem Mostert all listed as doubtful/out on final injury reports, this could be a big week for Samaje Perine, Rachaad White and Jeff Wilson.
2021 Fantasy Outlook
Former starting center Austin Blythe signed with the Chiefs during the offseason, so Allen projects to compete for the starting role during training camp. Allen sustained a significant MCL injury in November of 2019, and he hasn't seen the field since. He was healthy to start 2020, but was buried on the depth chart and then sustained another knee injury. Former starting right guard Austin Corbett took starting center reps during spring minicamps, and Allen ran with the second offense while also playing some right guard. Corbett appears to be the better fit for the schematic change the Rams are looking to deploy with their offensive line. However, the organization invested a fourth round pick in Allen in the 2018 NFL Draft, so he'll probably crack the 53-man roster. He has nine career starts, after all.
