Gray (shoulder) was spotted on the field during OTAs earlier this week.
ANALYSIS
Gray, who missed all of San Francisco's 2023 campaign due to a shoulder injury, appears to be fully healthy once again heading into the 2024 season. The 2022 third-round pick out of SMU saw limited work as a rookie, tallying just 10 receiving yards and one reception through 13 games. With the 49ers adding Ricky Pearsall and Jacob Cowing in the 2024 NFL Draft, Gray will have to battle to earn a depth role in San Francisco's wide receiver room this offseason.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
Gray failed to make an impact in his rookie campaign, hauling in just one of his seven targets in 13 appearances. The 2022 third-round pick will have to fight to earn opportunities this season on a San Francisco squad that is stacked at the wide receiver position. Gray possesses raw speed (4.33 40-yard dash) as a prospect, so there's still hope he can develop into a fantasy contributor if he ever carves out a consistent role.
Gray is an interesting prospect out of SMU, bringing a blazing 4.33 40-yard dash time to the table. With a 6-0, 186-pound frame, the 2022 third-round pick could develop into a deep threat for Trey Lance's howitzer of an arm one day, but he may find it hard to carve out a significant role out of the gates.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could address SF's offensive woes
WRSan Francisco 49ers
September 30, 2022
Michael Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle believes getting Gray more involved could be the key to jump-starting San Francisco's lackluster offense.
ANALYSIS
Gray displayed his big-play ability with a 76-yard touchdown in the preseason, but the rookie third-round pick was a healthy scratch in Week 1 and has yet to record a catch in the regular season. His speed and playmaking could help provide a boost to a 49ers offense that's been limited to 10 points in two of its first three games, though Gray was unable to practice Thursday due to a hip injury, so the 49ers may not be able to work him in Week 4 against the Rams, even if they want to.
