Dont'e Thornton

22-Year-Old Wide ReceiverWR
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Thornton was one of the big winners from the 2025 NFL Combine, where he ran a 4.30 40 at 6-foot-5, 205 pounds, albeit with an average broad jump (126 inches) and poor vertical (33 inch). The Raiders took a shot early in the fourth round, with the 108th overall pick, undeterred by the poor vertical jump or Thornton's middling college production -- 65 catches for 1,426 yards and 10 TDs across four seasons for Oregon and Tennessee. He had personal bests of 661 yards and six TDs last year, making the most of his 26 receptions with an SEC-leading 25.4 yards per catch. Thornton's best chance to contribute this season would be in a similar role as a high-volume deep threat, running a lot of clear-out routes while occasionally getting shots downfield or in the end zone. He and third-year pro Tre Tucker may end up competing for a lot of the same snaps and routes. Read Past Outlooks

Adds speed to Vegas' receiving corps
WRLas Vegas Raiders
April 26, 2025
The Raiders selected Thornton in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 108th overall.
ANALYSIS
Thornton had modest collegiate production, though he did average 25.4 yards per catch with six touchdowns in his final year with Tennessee. The Raiders likely drafted him with a similar role in mind, as he'll be able to use his 4.30 40-yard dash speed to threaten defenses vertically, in turn opening space underneath for the likes of Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers. That may not mean a lot of production immediately for Thornton, but targets after Bowers and Meyers are up for grabs in the Raiders' wide receiver corps.

Working with first-team offense
WRLas Vegas Raiders
June 14, 2025
Thornton has made strides during OTAs and minicamp and has spent a large amount of minicamp working with the Raiders' first-team offense, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
McFadden relays that Thornton is expected to serve as a deep threat in the offense, and the Raiders have utilized his unique blend of size and speed by lining him up on the outside with Tre Tucker while Jakobi Meyers operates out of the slot. Thornton appears to be the early favorite to work in three-wideout sets, as the majority of Jack Bech's snaps have come with the second team. Thornton didn't have the most productive four-year college career compared to some of his peers in the 2025 NFL Draft, but he did average 25.4 yards per catch and hauled in six touchdowns during his final season in Tennessee.
