2025 Fantasy Outlook
Pineiro is a surprise entry at No. 3 on the career FG percentage list, having made 88.1 percent of attempts overall and at least 82.1 percent in each of his five NFL seasons. The conversion rate is inflated by a lack of long attempts -- 11-of-14 from 50-plus yards, with 126 career field-goal attempts overall -- and hasn't translated to success on PATs (92.1 percent), which may help explain why he's a free agent after kicking for Carolina the past three seasons. Pineiro never got enough volume in Carolina to be more than a back-end fantasy option or bye-week streamer. Read Past Outlooks
Perfect in regular-season finale
Pineiro made his lone field-goal attempt while converting on all five of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 44-38 overtime win over the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
The 29-year-old kicker from Florida ended his 2024 campaign on a positive note Sunday, drilling all six of his kicks. Pineiro didn't miss a game for the Panthers this season, converting 22 of his 26 field-goal tries (including seven of 10 from 40-plus yards) and 33 of his 35 extra-point attempts. He's set to hit free agency after this year, however, Pineiro likely won't have trouble finding work, whether in Carolina or elsewhere, as he currently ranks as the third-most accurate kicker in NFL history.

2019
Pineiro made 90.6 percent of his field-goal attempts and 90.4 percent of PATs over the past two seasons in Carolina, rebounding nicely after bouncing around the league from 2019 to 2021. He missed the final two games of 2023 with a hamstring injury and finished 27th among kickers in fantasy points, attempting just 20 PATs all year (and missing three). Pineiro should keep the job in 2024, but any chance at relevance requires a massive step forward for the Carolina offense in Year 2 with Bryce Young at quarterback and Year 1 of Dave Canales' coaching tenure.

Gets look from Buffalo
Pineiro worked out for the Bills last week, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
ANALYSIS
Tyler Bass missed most of the preseason with a pelvic injury, and the Bills are doing their due diligence in case they need to find a replacement, also working out veterans Zane Gonzalez and Greg Joseph. Pineiro suited up for all 17 regular-season games with the Panthers last year, connecting on 22 of 26 field-goal attempts and 33 of 35 extra-point attempts, but a lack of leg strength has kept him unemployed this offseason.
