2025 Fantasy Outlook
Each of Wilson's three NFL seasons has followed the same pattern, with massive volume and lousy per-target efficiency balancing out to leave him just north of 1,000 receiving yards. He scored seven TDs last season after having seven in his first two years combined, but that was about the only benefit of playing with Aaron Rodgers, who had a career-low 90.5 passer rating and favored Davante Adams over Wilson down the stretch. Wilson hasn't missed a game since entering the league, and he's stronger than you'd expect for a 6-foot, 183-pound wide receiver, with suddenness and acceleration that jump off the screen beyond even what his 4.38 40 time suggests. The biggest concern, yet again, is that he's unlikely to have good QB play, although college teammate Justin Fields -- the Jets' probable Week 1 starter -- did spark a career year for Bears WR D.J. Moore in 2023. The problem with Fields is that even if he throws the ball reasonably well, his proclivities for scrambles and sacks all but assure his team ranks near the bottom of the league in pass attempts. And while Wilson will see a huge portion of those passes, his target competition is weak to the point where it might not even be beneficial for fantasy, allowing secondaries to key on him without worrying about anyone else. In other words, we're likely looking at another season with plenty of volume and subpar efficiency, unless Fields and new offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand somehow are good enough to overcome a supporting cast that's flat-out lousy beyond Wilson and RB Breece Hall. Expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks
Wilson is expected to be sidelined 3-to-4 weeks due to a knee sprain sustained during Sunday's win over the Browns, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Wilson underwent an MRI on Monday, and it's at least encouraging that his knee injury won't require surgery or a long-term stint on the sideline. That said, Wilson had missed the Jets' prior two games before briefly returning to action Week 10, and he now looks set to sit out until Week 14 against the Dolphins on Sunday, Dec. 7 at the earliest. Assuming Wilson is indeed officially ruled out for Thursday's game against the Patriots, whomever of Justin Fields or Tyrod Taylor is named the starting quarterback will have to rely on Adonai Mitchell, Arian Smith, Tyler Johnson, Isaiah Williams, John Metchie, Allen Lazard and TE Mason Taylor will work as their top pass catchers.

Wilson is a king without a crown, viewed by many as a top wide receiver despite not quite having the stats to back it up. That's probably fair, for the most part, as he's passed both the eye test and the target dominance test since the Jets drafted him 10th overall in 2022. His 4.38 40 time translates to the field, and Wilson is tougher and more physical than you'd expect of a guy who measured just 6-0. 183, at the combine (he's now listed at 192 pounds). He played every game his first two seasons and topped 1,000 yards both years, but the efficiency numbers went from poor in 2022 (56.5 percent catch rate, 7.5 YPT) to downright awful in 2023 (56.5 percent, 6.2 YPT), essentially following the same path as the Jets' QB play and offense overall. Zach Wilson was a big part of that problem, though Wilson's per-route/game production was no better with the cavalcade of backups he played with (Joe Flacco, Mike White, Trevor Siemian, Tim Boyle). Even the 40-year-old, post-Achilles-tear version of Aaron Rodgers should be easily the best QB that Wilson has experienced since putting up 1,058 yards and 12 TDs in 11 games his final season at Ohio State while catching passes from C.J. Stroud. The Jets' offseason moves could also help, as they brought in three big-name OTs (Tyron Smith, Morgan Moses, rookie Ola Fashanu) but are relying on ACL rehabee Mike Williams and third-round pick Malachi Corley as the complementary WRs. The crux of the plan seems to be better blocking and better QB play, in conjunction with huge years from Wilson and RB Breece Hall.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Says he's playing Week 10
Wilson said Wednesday that he has recovered from his knee injury and expects to play Sunday against the Browns, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Wilson missed the Jets' previous two games, but a Week 9 bye provided him enough time to recover ahead of a Week 10 showdown against the Browns. There were plenty of teams interested in trading for Wilson earlier in the week, but the Jets rebuffed those offers, instead hoping to build around the star wide receiver on offense.
