2024 Fantasy Outlook
Wilcox spent the first three campaigns of his NFL career with Cincinnati and now will look to carve out a depth role in the Patriots offense behind Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper. Up to this point, the 27-year-old has primarily been used as an in-line blocking tight end, and that's not likely to change in his new locale. In 17 regular-season games with the Bengals in 2023, the South Florida product recorded nine catches (on 12 targets) for 56 yards. Read Past Outlooks
Back with Pats' taxi squad
Wilcox signed with New England's practice squad Wednesday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Wilcox wasn't able to crack the Patriots' 53-man roster after catching just two passes (on five targets) for nine yards across two preseason games. He brings three years of NFL experience, which should mean he'll likely be called up if tight ends Hunter Henry (undisclosed), Austin Hooper or Jaheim Bell are forced to miss time.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Wilcox saw most of his action last season on special teams, and when he received offensive snaps, it was mostly as a blocker. That's likely going to be his role again in 2022, as he'll begin the season third on the Bengals' depth chart behind Hayden Hurst and Drew Sample.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Drop problems persist vs. Panthers
Chad Graff of The Athletic believes Wilcox's stock dropped following his performance in the Patriots' 17-3 preseason win over the Panthers on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Wilcox started opposite Austin Hooper on Thursday, with Hunter Henry not playing. Wilcox's four targets were tied with wide receiver Javon Baker for second most on the Patriots, but the former had two drops and finished with one catch for five yards. The rainy conditions didn't make things easy for any of the pass catchers, but drops have been a consistent problem for Wilcox throughout training camp and could cost him a spot on New England's 53-man roster if he doesn't shore up that part of his game.
