Wilcox spent the first three campaigns of his NFL career with Cincinnati and now will look to carve out a depth role in the Patriots offense behind Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper. Up to this point, the 27-year-old has primarily been used as an in-line blocking tight end, and that's not likely to change in his new locale. Wilcox saw most of his action last season on special teams, and when he received offensive snaps, it was mostly as a blocker. That's likely going to be his role again in 2022, as he'll begin the season third on the Bengals' depth chart behind Hayden Hurst and Drew Sample.
