Re-ups with Baltimore
The Ravens signed Agholor to a one-year contract extension Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Agholor will stick with the Ravens after a solid first season with the team in 2023 in which he caught 35 of 45 targets for 381 yards and four touchdowns. The 6-foot speedster didn't enjoy a significant uptick in his overall production compared to his previous two-year span with the Patriots, but his pass-catching efficiency greatly improved, as he had caught just 68 of 117 targets during this stint in New England. He also was reserved into much more of a depth role in Baltimore while playing behind top wideouts Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and Odell Beckham, the latter of whom currently is set for free agency after he also signed a one-year contract with the Ravens last offseason. Agholor, who is entering his age-31 season, should reprise a role as a depth piece in Baltimore's receiving corps behind Flowers and Bateman as well as standout tight end Mark Andrews next season.

Praised by teammate
Cornerback Rock Ya-Sin listed Agholor as a receiver who performed well in the offseason program, Kevin Oestreicher of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Agholor was notably the first receiver Ya-Sin mentioned, though the cornerback also complimented Odell Beckham, Sean Ryan, Tylan Wallace, James Proche and Devin Duvernay. Agholor has been an overlooked addition to a Baltimore team that also signed Beckham, drafted Zay Flowers in the first round and is projected to get Rashod Bateman back from a foot injury, but Agholor has topped 700 yards three times in his career and could play a prominent role if he can establish a rapport with quarterback Lamar Jackson.

When Agholor signed with the Ravens, it looked like he had a chance to slot in as a starting receiver. Fast forward two months and the team has brought in both Odell Beckham and first-rounder Zay Flowers. Agholor is entering his ninth season and has trended down since his Las Vegas renaissance in 2020 in which he recorded more receiving yards (896) and touchdowns (eight) than his last two seasons in New England combined. Is there another 2020-esque effort in the tank for Agholor, or are his last two campaigns the true indicator of his current potential? If Rashod Bateman and Odell Beckham stay healthy, and if Zay Flowers hits the ground running as a rookie, Agholor may be stuck in a reserve role with a low ceiling on his snap count.
