Emmanwori underwent right ankle surgery just before the start of training camp in late July, and while he passed a physical and was activated from the active/PUP list Aug. 11, his status remains murky just days before a Week 1 matchup with the Patriots. At the beginning of Sunday's session, he was spotted warming up with a helmet at his side, per Corbin K. Smith of SI.com, and Emmanwori eventually mixed into some drills. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound defensive back ran a 4.38 second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, and the tape shows fluid hips and a keen eye for the ball. With extreme hype in tow, Emmanwori has plenty to prove, but he may not garner a full-time role in the defense immediately because safeties Coby Bryant and Julian Love remain in the fold.
