2024 Fantasy Outlook
Hill's versatile skill set makes him an enticing fantasy asset, especially since he's eligible at the relatively thin tight end position in the majority of formats. He sees occasional playing time at tight end and on special teams, but most of Hill's fantasy production comes from under center as a wildcat quarterback. Hill has averaged 6.0 rushing touchdowns, as well as 451.8 rushing yards per year, over the last four seasons. He caught six TDs back in 2019, when Hill played predominantly wide receiver, but his career high in receiving yards actually came last season, when he had 291. Hill's days as a starting quarterback option appear to be behind him, but he does have 11 touchdown passes in his career and threw one last season. The Saints hired Klint Kubiak as their new offensive coordinator in February, but while the coaching change could lead to some changes in Hill's usage, Hill's athleticism should earn him a significant role once again in his age-34 season. Handles rushing-centric role Week 1
Hill recorded five carries for 35 yards and caught one of his two targets for one yard during Sunday's 47-10 win versus the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Hill worked as the Saints' secondary rushing option to start the game, logging a two-yard carry on their second play from scrimmage. The 34-year-old finished with four carries and one target in the first quarter, and his playing time dwindled as the game got out of hand down the stretch. Backup running back Jamaal Williams logged more carries (11), but most of his touches came later in the second half when the game was essentially decided. Hill's early usage in the rushing game Sunday is a likely indicator of what his role could be under new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak this season. It will be worth monitoring if/how his deployment changes when New Orleans faces what should be a much tougher road matchup versus Dallas on Sunday, Sept. 15.

Hill is officially listed as a tight end in many fantasy leagues, though the majority of his value comes from plays where he takes the snap. He’s set to reprise his role as a jack of all trades and wildcat quarterback in New Orleans, though the Saints may be more reluctant to sub out pricey new quarterback Derek Carr in key spots. Jameis Winston is still around as the backup, so the dream fantasy scenario of the TE-eligible Hill starting at quarterback is at least two injuries away. Hill should continue to get most of his playing time in red-zone and short-yardage packages, and he has run in 20 touchdowns over the past three seasons while throwing for 10 and catching three. Like last year, Hill – who turns 33 in August – could have a few big games while barely seeing the ball in others. He had only 77 receiving yards in 2022, and of his 575 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground, 193 rushing yards and four touchdowns came in two games.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Option at tight end?
Hill could potentially take some snaps at tight end early in the 2024 season if Juwan Johnson, who Katherine Terrell and Adam Schefter of ESPN report will be sidelined indefinitely due to upcoming foot surgery, isn't ready for Week 1.
ANALYSIS
Hill is renowned for his seemingly limitless offensive versatility, and tight end is one of several positions he's played in the past. The veteran BYU product, who lined up regularly as a fullback during recent OTAs, would almost certainly split snaps with Foster Moreau, at minimum, if Johnson's injury did linger into the regular season. However, it's worth noting Hill happens to be coming off a season with a career-best 33 receptions and 291 receiving yards in 2023.
