Experience Wins

Winner K.J. Choi turns 41 this week and has played the PLAYERS nine times.
Second-place David Toms is 44 and has played the PLAYERS 18 times.
Third-place Paul Goydos is 47 in June and has played 12 times.

Three Champions Tour players made the cut.

Kenny Perry is 51 and played in his 21st PLAYERS last week.
Corey Pavin is 52 and played in his 19th PLAYERS last week
Mark O'Meara is 54 and played in his 14th PLAYERS last week.

But Jim Furyk, Vijay Singh, both well above 40, missed the cut while 18-year old Matteo Manassero tied for 64th, 3-over, in his first start.

Both Choi and Toms have statistics as you would expect in their tie at 13-under.
Their driving accuracy and distance are very close; Choi's putting stats are only a sliver better than Toms - recall Toms' putt on the playoff hole? In birdies/bogeys, again they are very close.

The tournament stat for SCRAMBLING, other than Sand Saves, is sorely needed from PGA Tour.com. ShotLink is calculating that data right along with other "at-the-green" stats. Send a note to the PGA Tour.com website requesting it include the SCRAMBLING stat. It is offered by the European Tour.com.
