FantasyDraft NHL: Saturday Values

FantasyDraft NHL: Saturday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

It's the final weekend of February, and the final weekend before the NHL trade deadline. There are 10 games Saturday evening, which offers an abundance of lineup options for daily fantasy purposes. Here are some values I like the best.

GOALIE

Los Angeles Kings, LOS vs. EDM ($16,600): After a rough patch, Jonathan Quick has righted the ship. In his last seven games, he has a 2.04 GAA and a .939 save percentage. The Oilers are 3-7-0 in their last 10 games and have only scored 2.67 goals per game on the road. The Kings shouldn't feel too threatened.

CENTER

Vincent Trocheck, FLA vs. PIT ($13,400): Trocheck has 23 goals and 31 assists, which actually mirrors his total from last season. Of course, last year he put up those numbers in 82 games, and this year he's done it in 58. The Pittsburgh native also has 210 shots on net. Speaking of Pittsburgh, the Penguins are on the road for the second night of a back-to-back. With no days of rest they have a 3.54 GAA.

Evgeny Kuznetsov, WAS vs. BUF ($11,900): Although Kuznetsov only has one point in his last five games, he had 14 in his previous 12 contests. Overall he has 55 points, including 19 on the power play. The Sabres have a 3.26 GAA, fourth highest in the NHL, and have allowed 32.5 shots per game, as well.

WING

Artemi Panarin, CLM vs. CHI ($12,100): Panarin has started a whopping 67.4 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, second on the Blue Jackets. He heads into this matchup with his old team with a three-game point streak. Chicago is on the road for the second night of a back-to-back, and even though it saved current No. 1 goalie Anton Forsberg for this one, he only has a 2.90 GAA and a .910 save percentage.

Kyle Palmieri, NJD vs. NYI ($10,800): Palmieri has tallied 27 points in only 42 games, including 14 on the power play. In addition to averaging 2:49 per game with the extra man, he's skating on New Jersey's top line, as well. That should mean plenty of playing time against the lowly Islanders. New York has a league-high 3.56 GAA and the 30th-ranked penalty kill.

Anthony Mantha, DET vs. CAR ($10,300): Although Mantha took a puck to the face in his last game, he's expected to play. That's encouraging, as he has four goals and two assists in his last eight games, and he now has 20 goals this season. The Hurricanes are on the second night of a back-to-back, which likely will mean Scott Darling (3.05 GAA, .891 save percentage) in net.

DEFENSEMEN

Alec Martinez, LOS vs. EDM ($8,400): Martinez has four points in his last four games, and all have come with the extra man. That gives him 11 power-play points in 56 games. Any success in that realm is encouraging heading into this matchup, as the Oilers have the league's worst penalty kill. Martinez has also blocked a whopping 161 shots, so he's added quite a bit of fantasy value defensively, as well.

Sami Vatanen, NJD vs. NYI ($7,800): Vatanen has found his footing in New Jersey, as he has 18 points in 37 games. That's the despite the fact he has only a 1.4 shooting percentage since his trade to the Devils. It wouldn't be surprising for the Finn to find some luck against the Islanders. As mentioned, New York has a league-high 3.56 GAA. However, the Islanders have also allowed a league-high 36.0 shots per game.
