FantasyDraft NHL: Wednesday Values

FantasyDraft NHL: Wednesday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

It's a light load Wednesday with only three NHL games on the slate. Your options are limited for your daily fantasy lineups, but these are some of the players I like the best.

GOALIE

Arizona Coyotes, ARI at VAN ($16,100): Yes, the Coyotes have been bad on the road, while the Canucks are 12-5-6 at home, but Arizona is also 7-2-1 in its last 10 games while Vancouver is 3-4-3. Additionally, the Canucks have only averaged 2.73 goals and 30.2 shots on net per game. Even though Antti Raanta is banged up and questionable, Darcy Kuemper was having a great season with the Kings before being traded to Arizona.

CENTER

Ryan O'Reilly, BUF vs. CGY ($13,300): O'Reilly has a four-game point streak going, and over his last 11 games he's notched 36 shots on net. It's possible Mike Smith might be able to return for this game, but even if he does he may be rusty after a long absence. If he can't play, then it's germane to this conversation that the Flames have a 3.56 GAA since the All-Star break.

Mikael Backlund, CGY at BUF ($11,700): Backlund has three goals in his last five games, which is encouraging. He's still shooting at 7.8 percent, below his career average, but he seems to finally be getting some puck luck. The Swede is also working to get his opportunities as he has put 26 shots on net in his last nine contests. Buffalo, for its part, has a 3.23 GAA, bottom five in the NHL.

WING

Clayton Keller, ARI at VAN ($11,900): Keller has had his ups and down, but the rookie has 17 goals and 29 assists through 65 games. He's also averaged 3:08 per game with the extra man and has tallied 14 power-play points. The Canucks have the 26th-ranked penalty kill, which should bode well for Keller. Also in his favor? Since the All-Star break Vancouver has a 3.41 GAA and has allowed 33.8 shots on net per game.

Travis Konecny, PHI vs. PIT ($10,600): Konecny has been consistent recently. In eight of his last 10 games he's put at least three shots on net. He's also notched nine points in that time. In away games the Penguins have a 3.27 GAA, and since the All-Star break they've allowed 34.0 shots on goal per contest.

Michael Frolik, CGY at BUF ($8,700): Frolik has a three-game point streak and has notched four points in his last five contests. As previously noted, the Sabres have a 3.23 GAA. Buffalo has also given up 32.5 shots on net per contest. At this price, Frolik could be quite the value if he stays hot.

DEFENSE

Kris Letang, PIT at PHI ($10,300): Letang has averaged 3:12 per game on the power play and he's notched 17 points with the extra man through 64 games. Meanwhile, the Flyers have the 29th-ranked penalty kill. The 30-year-old defenseman has also been playing some good hockey recently, tallying nine points in his last 10 contests.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson, ARI at VAN ($9,900): Ekman-Larsson has a three-game point streak and eight points in his last eight contests. He's also averaged 3:12 per game with the extra man and tallied 11 power-play points in 65 games. The Canucks have a 3.24 GAA, have allowed 32.4 shots on net per contest, and have the 26th-ranked penalty kill.
