DeMelo's last two seasons have looked eerily similar, though he dropped in a couple of areas in 2025-26. He had three goals, 16 assists, 75 shots on net, 115 hits, 109 blocked shots, 40 PIM and a plus-7 rating in 82 appearances last year. The offense was exactly equal to the year before, but the plus-minus rating and hits dropped. His steady individual work is a positive sign, considering how bad the Jets were last season. DeMelo is not a player who has universal fantasy appeal, but he profiles well in deeper formats and banger leagues.
