Schnell is now targeting a fight with Rogerio Bontorin at UFC 262 on May 15, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Schnell's initial opponent, Alex Perez (undisclosed), had to withdraw from UFC 262, but the promotion has quickly been able to target a replacement fighter. Not too much changes for Schnell based on the swap, as he'll still face an opponent against whom he boasts an advantage in terms of both height and reach. Also like Perez, Bontorin is two years younger than Schnell.

Schnell defeated Tyson Nam via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Island 8 on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Neither fighter hesitated to jump in the pocket in Round 1, and the damage distribution was roughly a stalemate. Schnell did eat a big right hand but was able to shake it off with few ill effects. He handled the power well while delivering combinations, which caused Nam to start wearing the damage in Round 2. Schnell starting to pull away in the unofficial striking tallies as Round 2 came to a close. The third round was more of the same, with Schnell staying busy while Nam searched for power shots. Schnell improves to 5-1 in his last six UFC bouts.
