Remains perfect in UFC
Erceg defeated Matt Schnell via KO (punch) at 0:26 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Erceg entered with just one knockout win in his pro career, which seems laughable considering how easily and emphatically he put Schnell away here. He got the better of the back-and-forth exchanges in Round 1 before closing the show with a left hand early in Round 2. We've only seen Erceg three times inside the Octagon, and he has yet to face a truly quality opponent (Schnell, Alessandro Costa, David Dvorak), but the guy simply knows how to fight. He doesn't make mistakes or seem overwhelmed by the moment and has no significant weaknesses in his game. The 28-year-old Aussie has earned a step up in competition his next time out. In the meantime, he'll walk away with a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.

Scheduled against Schnell again
Erceg is scheduled to compete against Matt Schnell in a flyweight fight at UFC Vegas 87 on March 2, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Before defeating Alessandro Costa via unanimous decision at UFC 295 in New York City, Erceg was supposed to fight Matt Schnell at the event before he withdrew. The two have re-scheduled a fight against each other, only this time at a smaller Vegas event.

Remains perfect in UFC
Erceg defeated Alessandro Costa via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 295 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Erceg's UFC run has lasted all of two fights and five months. It's an extremely small sample size, but the early returns are encouraging. He's very big for the flyweight division at 5-foot-8, and while Erceg doesn't have elite athleticism or above-average power, his fight IQ appears extremely high. This was far from a flawless performance, but Erceg seems to process things inside the Octagon quickly, which helped him get by a tough opponent in Costa. Still just 28 years of age, there's time for Erceg to make a run at 125 pounds.

Fighting new opponent
Erceg will face off against Alessandro Costa at UFC 295 on Nov. 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Erceg will take on Alessandro Costa at UFC 295 after Matt Schnell withdrew due to undisclosed reasons. The 28-year-old Australian fighter won his UFC debut against David Dvorak in June and will look to stay undefeated in his second bout.

Erceg will fight Matt Schnell at UFC 295 in New York City on Nov. 11, according to Nolan King of USA Today.
ANALYSIS
Initially, Schnell and David Dvorak were supposed to fight at UFC 289 before the former withdrew. Erceg replaced Schnell and defeated Dvorak at the pay-per-view event. Now healthy, Schnell will look to fight the flyweight who replaced him and defeated Dvorak in his place. It will be a daunting task, though as Ercek has only one loss across his 11-fight MMA career so far.
