Park defeated Shannon Ross via TKO (punches) at 3:59 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Making his official UFC debut after winning the "Road to the UFC" tournament last February, Park entered as a -675 favorite, by far the largest on the entire card. The 28-year-old South Korean is known more for his ground game than power, but any opponent facing Ross is required to throw hands knowing he will eventually crumble, and Park did just that. It would go on to earn him one of four $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses awarded on the evening. The truth of the matter is that Park has no experience against better competition, and this result tells us nothing about what to expect from him moving forward. Yet, all you can do is handle who they put in front of you, as Park did here.

Park will take on Shannon Ross at UFC Shanghai on Dec. 9, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport Nederland reports.
