Liudvik Sholinian

Not competitive in UFC debut
September 4, 2021
Sholinian lost to Jack Shore via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Making his UFC debut, Sholinian was by far the biggest underdog on the card at +450, and it was easy to see why. The 31-year-old deserves credit for seeing the final bell, but that's about the only positive thing to say about his evening. Sholinian landed just 33 total strikes over the course of the 15-minute bout and never had Shore in any sort of trouble whatsoever. The Ukrainian will likely receive another shot with the company, but the upside here is non-existent.

Struggles against Sidemar Honorio at Bellator 209
November 16, 2018
Sholinian lost to Sidemar Honorio via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26) at Bellator 209 on Thursday in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Sholinian had to survive a lot in this fight. Honorio nearly stopped him in the first seconds of the fight. He managed to survive, but from there Honorio was all over him on the ground and in the striking exchanges. This seemed to be a battle between two fighters at different levels. Sholinian deserves credit for staying in the fight, but he was really struggling throughout the contest.
