Makhmud Muradov

Booked for October fight
August 1, 2020
Muradov will face Krzysztof Jotko in a middleweight fight at UFC's Oct. 17 event, Mike Bohn of USA Today reports.
Come October, it will have been just over a year since Muradov made his UFC debut with a unanimous decision victory of Alessio Di Chirico. Muradov then took it a step up in his second fight, scoring a third-round knockout ofTrevor Smith at a UFC Fight Night event back in December. He'll look to make another statement with a victory over Jotko, another promising fighter who has defeated his last three opponents.

Hammers Trevor Smith in DC
December 7, 2019
Muradov defeated Trevor Smith via KO (punch) at 4:09 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Washington D.C.
Easy work. In as a late-notice replacement for Alonzo Menifield, Muradov routed an over matched Smith. Entering the bout as a massive (-500) favorite, Muradov was in firm control from the very start. The finish came when a monster right hand clocked Smith in the jaw and sent his mouthpiece flying. A win over "Hot Sauce" means next to nothing in the grand scheme of things, but Muradov went about his business against an inferior opponent. The 29-year-old has now won his first two UFC bouts, and will leave the arena $50,000 richer after earning Performance of the Night honors.
Fighting Trevor Smith
November 8, 2019
Muradov has stepped in to fight Trevor Smith at UFC on ESPN 7, which takes place Dec. 7 at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C., Nolan King of USA Today reports.
Muradov is taking the place of Alonzo Menifield, who withdrew from the match for undisclosed reasons. This will be Muradov's second UFC fight in less than three months after he defeated Alessio Di Chirico via unanimous decision in his UFC debut back at the end of September. Including all fights, Muradov is currently riding a 12-fight win streak, one that goes all the way back to December of 2016. On the other hand, his opponent Trevor Smith is a veteran in the UFC, having fought 15 times and sports a meager 7-8 record which includes three losses in his last four fights. Muradov will look to stay hot and continue a bright start in his UFC career.
Successful promotional debut
September 29, 2019
Muradov defeated Alessio Di Chirico via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Copenhagen on Saturday.
While some might argue this fight could have gone the other way, Muradov did edge out Di Chirico in terms of significant strikes in two of the three rounds. It likely came down to a first round that was largely uneventful until the very end, and the judges seemed to score that one in Muradov's favor. The second round clearly went to the Uzbekistan native, who recorded 23 significant strikes, including a right hand that opened up a cut. Muradov started to run out of gas in the third round and absorbed a good number of damaging shots, but he was able to stay standing and hold on for the victory. It was still likely a bit disappointing for fantasy owners, as Muradov scored a total of just 54 significant strikes and no grappling points en route to the decision.
