Slated to fight at UFC 271
WelterweightUFC
November 10, 2021
Cosce is slated to face Mike Diamond in a welterweight bout at UFC 271 on Feb. 12, Mike Heck of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cosce fought a heavy opponent during his UFC debut in late July, and he lost to Philip Rowe via TKO (punches) at UFC on ESPN 28. He'll face a newcomer to the UFC in Diamond, who signed with the promotion in July after he won his first three fights as an MMA competitor. The fighters are even in height, but Diamond has an advantage in reach.

Drops UFC debut
WelterweightUFC
July 31, 2021
Cosce lost to Philip Rowe via TKO (punches) at 4:21 of Round 2 at UFC on ESPN 28 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Cosce might get a bit of a pass for his performance because Rowe missed weight on Friday morning, but this was a dreadful result no matter how you slice it. Cosce was in firm control for the entirety of Round 1 before allowing Rowe to tune him up on the feet in Round 2. Cosce earned his UFC opportunity with a knockout win on Dana White's Contender Series about a year ago. He's going to need a rebound effort his next time out.
To face heavy opponent
WelterweightUFC
July 31, 2021
Cosce's scheduled welterweight matchup against Phillip Rowe will proceed as planned despite Rowe missing weight by 2.5 pounds Friday.
ANALYSIS
In exchange for agreeing to face a heavy opponent, Cosce will earn 20 percent of Rowe's fight purse for the event. Not only will his opponent be overweight, but Cosce will be giving up four inches in height and nine inches in reach when the cage doors close. Still, oddsmakers list Cosce as a modest betting favorite of approximately (-155) as of Saturday morning.
Draws Philip Rowe in late July
WelterweightUFC
May 17, 2021
Cosce (7-0-0) is scheduled to face Philip Rowe (7-3-0) in a welterweight bout at the UFC's July 31 event, Mike Heck of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cosce will be making his first appearance in the Octagon after he earned a UFC contract last August with his victory over Matt Dixon during Dana White's Contender Series. The 26-year-old was initially scheduled to make his promotional debut last November versus Nicolas Dalby, but that matchup was ultimately scrapped. Cosce will now attempt to keep his undefeated record intact while facing off against another Contender Series alum in Rowe, who has lost in both of his first two fights under the UFC banner.

ANALYSIS
Cosce will be making his UFC debut and will be looking to preserve his undefeated record as a professional.
