Crushed by Charles Radtke
WelterweightUFC
February 3, 2024
Urbina lost to Charlie Radtke via TKO (punches) at 4:47 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's only February, but Urbina as a -220 favorite could easily go down as one of the worst lines of the year. He spent as long as the fight lasted serving as a punching bag for Radtke, who isn't exactly known as a top prospect at age 33. It was such a poor performance from Urbina that it makes you wonder if he entered with some type of injury. Having alternated losses and wins in his first three UFC bouts, Gilbert needs a massive rebounded performance his next time out.

Easily handles heavy opponent

Urbina defeated Orion Cosce via TKO (strikes) at 2:55 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Fighting for the first time since August 2021, Urbina walked away with what will almost certainly be the most lucrative payday of his career. He not only picked up his show and win bonus, but will also score 20 percent of Cosce's purse after the latter missed weight by 1.5 pounds on Friday morning. Inside the Octagon, Urbina looked exceptional, consistently damaging his opponent with power shots while mixing in a pair of successful takedowns for good measure. Part of that could be the result of Cosce's struggles, but you can only fight who they put in front of you. Except Urbina to try to get back in the Octagon as soon as possible considering all the time he's missed.

Urbina's opponent Orion Cosce weighed in at 172.5, missing the welterweight limit by 1.5 pounds ahead of Saturday's fight at UFC Vegas 73, MMA Junkie reports.
ANALYSIS
Urbina will receive 20 percent of Cosce's purse as a result of the weight miss. "The RGV Bad Boy" hasn't competed since a short-notice effort at the Ultimate Fighter 29 Finale due to a medical suspension but showcased a well-rounded game prior to getting stopped in the second round. Operating with the help of a full training camp for the first time in his UFC career, Urbina will look to put it all together and notch his first official win in the Octagon.
