Rosa lost to Damon Jackson via unanimous decision (28-29, 27-29, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
One of the greatest streaks in the history of MMA rolls on. Rosa has now alternated wins and losses in his past dozen bouts. Rosa, as he often does, finished strong, but he was too far behind on the judges' scorecards to close the gap. The Massachusetts native was actually the better man on the feet in this 15-minute bout, but it's difficult to win when you give up six takedowns to your opposition for 10:24 worth of control time. Rosa doesn't win as much as he would hope, but he's fun to watch and tough as nails. He's almost always competitive every single time he steps into the Octagon, and that is a trait which produces a ton of value for a company which holds an event most every week.

Rosa will take on Damon Jackson in a featherweight bout at the UFC event on Oct. 9, MMA Island reports.
ANALYSIS
Rosa is coming off a split decision victory over Justin Jaynes back in late June. He has alternated wins and losses in his 10 fights since joining the UFC back in 2014. He will look to start a streak in October against a fighter with only two fights in the UFC under his belt.
Earns split decision after strong start

Rosa defeated Justin Jaynes via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Vegas 30 on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Rosa worked through an accidental clash of heads that caused a cut over Rosa's eye in Round 1, and he likely won the frame on the basis of a 35 to 19 advantage in significant strikes. Round 2 was less impactful for "Boston Strong," as he was credited with only three significant strikes, but won the total striking battle 57 to 10. It nearly came apart in Round 3, as Jaynes decided to let his hands go and work his wrestling, as well as attempting two submissions in the frame. Still, it was Rosa who came out on top despite a few suspect scorecards from the judges. He's now alternated wins and losses in 10 fights since joining the UFC in 2014.
