Stunning win at UFC 270
BantamweightUFC
January 22, 2022
Henry defeated Raoni Barcelos via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 270 on Saturday in Anaheim.
ANALYSIS
Henry fought for 15 different promotions before making his UFC debut in this one. He entered as a +360 underdog and proceeded to put forth one of the best debuts efforts against a high-level opponent in recent memory. Looking calm and composed from the very start, Henry leaned on his cardio, and most importantly, plenty of volume in the striking game to emerge victorious. He attempted 397 total strikes compared to just 277 from Barcelos. Just as importantly, he defended 6-of-7 takedown attempts from the Brazilian. It was a stellar all-around effort from Henry that few could have seen coming. His next challenge will be following up this performance with another strong one his next time out.
