Jaqueline Amorim
Jaque

Brazil
Winning streak snapped at four
Amorim lost to Mizuki Inoue via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC 321 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
It was a laughably poor performance from Amorim as a -450 favorite against an opponent that hadn't fought in more than two years. The Brazilian was able to land a pair of takedowns, but found herself on the short end of a 150-48 count in terms of total strikes landed. Amorim's complete inability to generate anything on the feet allowed Inoue to push forward without hesitation. Jaqueline entered having won for in a row, all via stoppage, so her roster spot is plenty secure despite this stinker.

Cruises as biggest favorite on card
Amorim defeated Polyana Viana via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:49 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
This is the type of dominant performance you want to see when you back a fighter as a -900 favorite. In a fight which lasted 6:49, Amorim was credited with 6:34 worth of control time. She primarily just hung out in top position in Round 1, but once she actively sought out the finish early in Round 2, Viana was done. The 29-year-old Brazilian has won four straight fights via stoppage (three submissions, one knockout) on the heels of a unanimous decision loss to Sam Hughes in her UFC debut back in April 2023.

Set to face Viana
Amorim will take on Polyana Viana in a Strawweight bout at UFC Kansas City on April 26, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Amorim is in the midst of an absolute tear. After dropping her first bout in the UFC, she's ripped off three-straight victories - the two most recent coming in the first round. Most recently, she disposed of Vanessa Demopoulos via an Armbar back in September. Now, she'll look to make it four straight and push her record to 4-1 in the UFC. Her opponent, meanwhile, will be desperate for a win after dropping her last two fights.

Third straight first-round win
Amorim defeated Vanessa Demopoulos via submission (armbar) at 3:28 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's the third straight first-round stoppage win for Amorim and her fourth overall. She deserves full marks for going out and completely blowing the doors off Demopoulos. Jaqueline landed an immediate takedown and proceeded to dominate her opponent on the mat. Vanessa was complaining that the Brazilian was repeatedly grabbing the inside of her gloves for increased leverage, but referee Jacob Montalvo was right on top of the action and never so much as warned Amorim. The result was another impressive finish for the 29-year-old. Amorim has certainly done enough in her last few bouts to warrant a step up in competition her next time out.

Demopoulos up next
Amorim is scheduled to compete against Vanessa Demopoulos in a strawweight fight at UFC Vegas 97 on Sept. 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Amorim is coming off back-to-back first-round finishes. Demopoulos is also coming off back-to-back wins, meaning somebody's losing streak will be lost when the two strawweights fight in September.
