Yoder rematch postponed
February 27, 2021
Hill won't take on Angela Hill at UFC Vegas 20 on Saturday due to COVID-19 protocols, Alexander. K Lee of reports.
The fight has been rescheduled for UFC Vegas 21 on March 13. The fight was postponed unexpectedly Saturday after one of Yoder's cornermen tested positive for COVID-19. It's possible the March 13 fight will be elevated to the main card, though no official designation has been made yet.

Booked against Ashley Yoder
February 20, 2021
Hill (illness) is scheduled to fight Ashley Yoder at the UFC's event on Feb. 27, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
Hill tested positive for COVID-19 back in December and was forced out of her bout with Tecia Torres, but she's since cleared all requisite protocols. Next week, Hill will get a chance to turn around her two-fight losing streak.
Tests positive for COVID-19
December 6, 2020
Hill tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday and will no longer face Tecia Torres at UFC 256, reports.
Hill revealed her positive diagnosis Sunday, but it's unclear whether she's experiencing symptoms. It's not yet known whether the promotion will reschedule the fight or if Torres will receive a new opponent for Saturday's event.
Facing Tecia Torres in Las Vegas
October 19, 2020
Hill will take on Tecia Torres in a strawweight matchup at UFC 256 in Las Vegas on Dec. 12, reports.
Both fighters have been in a bit of a rough patch of late. Hill will be looking to turn around a two-match losing streak, as she fell to Claudia Gadelha in May and Michelle Waterson in September, both via split decision. Torres did win a unanimous decision against Brianna Van Buren in June, though that followed four straight defeats.
Drop another split decision
September 12, 2020
Hill lost to Michelle Waterson via split decision (46-49, 48-47, 47-48) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
This was a close one, with the 49-46 score in favor of Waterson being bizarre and baffling. It's a disappointing result for Hill considering the vast majority of the fight was spent in the stand-up, where she figured to have a clear edge. Hill started quickly, seemingly winning each of the first two rounds. It was a bit of a struggle after that. Waterson picked up the pace in Rounds 3 and 4, before a very close final frame that likely decided the fight. It's nearly impossible to believe that Hill's record with the UFC is 7-9 over two stints with the company, because she's far more talented than that number would lead you to believe. Included in those nine losses are three via split decision, including this setback to Waterson and Hill's previous fight against Claudia Gadelha. Hill's career could have been remarkably different if those judges decisions had gone in the other direction. As is, she will be 36 years of age this coming January and the odds of her ever making a legitimate run at 115 pounds appear to be shrinking. At the very least, she'll go home $50,000 richer after this bout was awarded Fight of the Night honors.
Set for five rounds
September 4, 2020
Hill's scheduled matchup against Michelle Waterson has been moved to the main event of the Sept. 12 card and will now be a five-round fight, Ariel Helwani of ESPN reports.
Hill still stands as roughly a (-145) betting favorite for this matchup, though it's Waterson who has competed in five-round fights more recently. Hill has certainly earned the nickname "Overkill" with her tremendous cardio, but it remains to be seen if she can keep up her pace of 5.76 significant strikes landed per minute over a five-round fight. Hill will also carry a two-inch reach advantage in this matchup, but the wrestling/grappling factor leans to the side of Waterson. Nonetheless, Hill sports a respectable 72 percent takedown defense, and should have the edge here as long as she can keep the action off the mat.
