Another heartbreaking defeat
StrawweightUFC
December 18, 2021
Hill lost to Amanda Lemos via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
The queen of heartbreaking split decision defeats, Hill suffers another. Angie started slowly, which has been an issue for her in the past, but there is a real case to be made that Hill won each of the final two rounds and deserved the decision. Hill is a kickboxer by trade, but she mixed things up in this one, attempting seven takedowns, landing a single one. Win or lose, this was another strong effort from Hill as a +230 underdog, one of the largest on the entire card. Set to turn 37 years of age next month, Hill is 1-4 in her past five fights dating back to May 2020. Somehow, three of those five defeats have come via split decision. It's fascinating to think where Hill might be if a couple of those went her way. On the bright side, she'll walk away with a $50,000 bonus after this back-and-forth affair was awarded Fight of the Night honors.

Stepping in against Amanda Lemos
StrawweightUFC
November 9, 2021
Hill will take on Amanda Lemos in Las Vegas on Dec. 18, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill takes the place of Nina Nunes, who withdrew for undisclosed reasons Tuesday. Hill will be looking to bounce back from a slump which has seen her lose three of her last four fights, most recently dropping a unanimous decision to Tecia Torres in August. In Lemos, she'll face a fighter who has won four straight matches.
Again bested by Tecia Torres
StrawweightUFC
August 7, 2021
Hill lost to Tecia Torres via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC 265 on Saturday in Houston.
ANALYSIS
Hill did her best, but the speed differential between the two women was simply too much for her to overcome. To give you an idea of how difficult it was for Hill on the feet, her best moments of the fight came she leaned on her grappling (despite being largely considered a pure kickboxer). Hill picked up a couple takedowns and did some damage in the clinch at times, but that's about it. The was a fight the 36-year-old Hill had to have. She's had difficulty over the years against better competition, and tonight was no different. A loser of three of her past four bouts, Hill is miles from title contention at 115 pounds.
Gets rematch with Torres
StrawweightUFC
June 14, 2021
Hill (13-9-0) agreed Monday to face Tecia Torres (12-5-0) in a strawweight fight at the UFC 265 on Aug. 7, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill and Torres previously fought one another back in June 2015 at UFC 188, with Torres prevailing in a unanimous decision. Since that fight, Hill has gone 11-8-0, most recently coming away with her 13th career MMA victory in March against Ashley Yoder. Hill was initially expected to face Amanda Ribas for her next fight, but with Ribas still battling the after effects of COVID-19, the 36-year-old will instead take on Torres in a rematch.
Ribas fight off again
StrawweightUFC
May 23, 2021
Hill's upcoming fight against Amanda Ribas at the UFC event on June 5 has been called off again with Ribas still feeling lingering COVID-19 symptoms, Nolan King of MMA Junkie reports.
ANALYSIS
HiIll and Ribas were supposed to meet at a UFC event on May 8 but the bout was scrapped just hours before it was supposed to happen after Ribas and her father tested positive for COVID-19. Ribas is apparently still fighting some lingering respiratory issues and has not gotten her taste or smell back. The UFC has decided to completely remove both fighters from the card instead of trying to find Hill a replacement. It's unclear if these two will eventually end up meeting down the road, though given how active Hill wants to be, it wouldn't be surprising to see her book another fight in the near future.
Fight rebooked for June 5
StrawweightUFC
May 10, 2021
Hill will take on Amanda Ribas in a strawweight bout at the UFC event on June 5, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
The bout was originally supposed to be on May 8, but was removed from the card after Ribas and her father tested positive for COVID-19. Hill last fought on March 13 when she defeated Ashley Yoder via unanimous decision.
